Riding the METRO to the Home Show is far more relaxing than the stress of driving on our auto clogged freeways and eliminates the nerve wracking car parking quest. There are 4 METRO lines: Green, Blue, Red and Gold. To locate the lines and stations visit the METRO website http://www.mta.net/images/rail_map.pdf The trains run often and usually until around midnight. If you miss one, another is usually 10 to 15 minutes away. Check the METRO website for exact times.
DIRECTIONS to the HOME SHOW at the
PASADENA CONFERENCE CENTER:
From the GOLD LINE, disembark at the Del Mar station in Pasadena.
Earlier this year, this writer rode the GOLD LINE METRO train from the San Fernando Valley to Pasadena. We parked FREE! at the Universal Station in the San Fernando Valley and caught the RED LINE headed for Los Angeles. We changed to the GOLD LINE at the downtown L.A. Union Station. From the GOLD LINE, we disembarked at the DEL MAR and walked several bocks to the Pasadena Conference Center.
On the return trip, we especially enjoyed the relaxation of the train and took a quick cat nap before we reached our stop back in the valley....Carole Ozanian, N.E.C.Website Editor
